TRAIN FOR YOUR FUTURE
American Job Centers in South Central CT offer training scholarships to eligible jobseekers, backed up with job development and hiring incentives for employers.

MANUFACTURING
Manufacturing is essential! Five weeks of training is all it takes to break into this field that is a backbone of the Connecticut economy. Workforce Alliance delivers Skill Up for Manufacturing with our New Haven-area training partners at Gateway Community College and Eli Whitney Tech and our Middletown-area partners at Middlesex Community College and Vinal Tech.
Skill Up includes: Free 5-Week hybrid classroom & hands-on training; Cash stipend during training; Minimum 175 pre-apprenticeship hours; Six Sigma certification; OSHA 10 safety card; and Job development.

GET IT Growing Educational Training in Information Technology
The GET IT program equips young adults with the skills needed to thrive in today’s digital world. Participants can explore hands-on experiences in AI, VR, gaming, web development, and more through our Immersion Day "Tech Path." They can also gain foundational skills with our Introduction to Coding (3 weeks, $300 stipend) or dive deeper with Foundations to a Career in Computers (6 weeks, $600 stipend + build your own computer). Support services are available for those in need.
