18-24 Year Olds Not Connected to Work or School

Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States. Check out your options below, then complete the application to get started. Priority to those living in South Central CT or otherwise indicated.

TRAIN FOR YOUR FUTURE

American Job Centers in South Central CT offer training scholarships to eligible jobseekers, backed up with job development and hiring incentives for employers.

MANUFACTURING

Manufacturing is essential! Five weeks of training is all it takes to break into this field that is a backbone of the Connecticut economy. Workforce Alliance delivers Skill Up for Manufacturing with our New Haven-area training partners at Gateway Community College and Eli Whitney Tech and our Middletown-area partners at Middlesex Community College and Vinal Tech.

Skill Up includes: Free 5-Week hybrid classroom & hands-on training; Cash stipend during training; Minimum 175 pre-apprenticeship hours; Six Sigma certification; OSHA 10 safety card; and Job development.
