Workforce Alliance provides funding for youth living in South Central CT between ages 14- 21 who are still in school to participate FREE in programs listed below to gain academic, career development, employment, leadership and occupational skills. Paid work experience, test prep, financial literacy, planning for higher education, and internships are often included, along with training and certifications.

Youth are referred by their current school to participate. Must be between the ages of 14 and 21, meet low-income guidelines, and meet one or more challenge definitions.

Work-based learning experiences with an emphasis on Green Jobs. Work experience activities are the defining feature of the Green Job Corps. Students may select from eight possible jobs programs: Youth Crew, Environmental Leaders Corps, Solar Youth, URI Green Skills Interns, City Seed’s Farmer’s Market Outreach, Garden Resource Center, Schoolyard Habitat Crew and New Haven Farms Educators).
