Executive Summary

Equal Employment Opportunity

In order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at the WA will be based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.  It is the policy of Workforce Alliance (WA) to ensure nondiscrimination and equal opportunity for all applicants, registrants, participants, employees, subrecipients and contractors that are beneficiaries of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Jobs First Employment Services and all other Workforce Alliance administered programs and activities. This policy applies without regard to race, color, sex (including pregnancy, child birth, and related medical conditions, sex stereotyping, transgender status, and gender identity), national origin (including limited English proficiency), age, disability, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by law.

To comply with applicable laws ensuring equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with a disability, the WA will make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with known disabilities unless doing so would result in an undue hardship for the WA.  Any individual who requires an accommodation in order to perform the essential functions of the job should contact the EEO/Affirmative Action Officer or the Executive Assistant to request the accommodation.

To assist in this responsibility, Kymbel Branch (kbranch@workforcealliance.biz), 203-867-4030 ext. 247, has been designated as Workforce Alliance Equal Opportunity Officer, as directed under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
